Review
After the enormous worldwide success of its predecessor, The Revenge of the Fallen was highly anticipated by tons of people and with movies like these, it’s hard to come up with criticism because they’re just made for entertainment. Kids have fun watching them and can buy cool Transformers merchandise. That might be true for the first one, but not this movie.
It seems, the writers completely missed the point and went against everything fans were expecting from this movie. They were like, you know what? People don’t care about the Transformers, let’s show them a lot of Shia LaBeouf’s parents. We have them accompanying Sam to his first day of college and the mom eats a marihuana brownie. What an incredible scene! The movie has plenty of annoying characters. Sam’s roommate Leo accompanies him for the entire adventure and all he does is scream his head off like he’s addicted to ecstasy. Robots make racist remarks, the plot has no coherence, characters are poorly written; you name it.

Megan Fox lying occasionally lying on the motorbike and car bonnets with jean shorts is the only redeeming feature of the movie.
Plot
So let’s talk about the plot of the Revenge of the Fallen. It was cute for us to call it a plot. It is just a series of events that were written, possibly, because this movie was made really fast. Why? Because of the looming threat of a strike by actors guild and directors guild!
So the plot they came up with is that a sliver of the cube from the first movie was stuck to Sam’s shirt. He touches it and goes insane and he starts seeing cryptic alien words which lead him down the path to the ancient fallen. All this happened because he touched a sliver of the cube. Apparently, the writers forgot that this guy was running with the entire thing towards the end of the first Transformers movie. All in all, it’s lazy writing.
Easily, the best scene in the movie is the forest battle between Optimus Prime and the Fallen, which is something you can watch the movie for. Also, if you have watched the first part and you’re like us and have to watch the next part then go ahead. Here’s to two hours you won’t be getting back.
