I’ve been a fan of Keanu Reeves forever. Not just on-screen, but in real life too. In every interview, he seems cool, humble, basically down to earth gentleman. And I was hearing a lot of positive buzz about John Wick that really got me excited to see an action movie that I was hoping would be a great one. John Wick is possibly one of the greatest performances of Keanu Reeves’ life – seriously.

The stunts in this movie are mind-blowing, and Keanu Reeves has done quite a lot of them himself, which is so great to watch. Seeing him drive fast cars, taking on thugs and doing gunplay is so much fun. The reason this movie looks so slick is that the two directors of this movie are stuntmen themselves.
Michael Nyqvist who plays the main villain in this movie gives an incredible performance. In fact, all of the acting in the movie is really great. Not only this might be Keanu Reeves’ best movie since Matrix, but it may also be his best performance, because there are scenes in this movie which require a lot of an actor, and I’m not just talking about stunt work. There are a lot of scenes in the movie that involve anger and despair, and he does a very great job with all of them. I absolutely loved him in the movie.

One of the things that I really liked about John Wick is that it’s not just a revenge-action “shoot-em-up.” There’s actually quite an interesting world creation going on in this movie; you learn a lot about the underworld of criminals. Unlike the Maze Runner movie, John Wick seems to have a lot of potential as a franchise and I would love to see more sequels in the future.
The action in the movie is unrelenting once it starts. There are incredible shootout sequences, fantastic hand to hand combat sequences, and the greatest thing is that you can see Keanu Reeves’ face during all those stunts. This guy is an actor who respects his audience; remember all the stunts he did in Speed and all three Matrix movies?
It is a nonstop action movie that doesn’t let up; it actually has a smart script, a really awesome hero and a few great villains. I’ve got to say, this movie contains ‘the best’ nightclub scene since collateral ten years ago.
John Wick is one of the greatest action movies we’ve seen in the past few years; it is, in my opinion, Keanu Reeves’ best performance and I’ll have to give it an A. It is a fantastic movie and you should watch it as soon as you get the chance.
